Asian food in Madrid

It is not difficult to get Asian food restaurants in Madrid . Apart from the thousands of places to order sushi, there are interesting options of Chinese, Thai, Hindu and Korean food.

The Asian immigrant community in Madrid is numerous, especially Chinese. This is reflected in the number of shops that exist throughout the city, and with special emphasis on some particular neighborhoods. Of course, there are many Asian restaurants in Madrid.

Apart from Chinese, there are also places to eat Indian and Pakistani, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai , Japanese, some Filipinos and Arab food restaurants.

Thai Food

In the Lavapiés neighborhood there are several Thai restaurants, some are Indo/Thai ( ?) You can eat for less than 10 euros and drink beers at very friendly prices.

The Phuket Thai restaurant, 2 blocks from the Atocha train station, has an interesting menu with classic dishes from this Southeast country Asian.

On my last visit I ordered a Tom Yum Goong soup with vegetables, quite spicy, and a chicken with thai basil accompanied by white rice. Simple and delicious.

Phuket Thai Restaurant has a menu of the day at 11.50 euros that includes 2 dishes plus drink, dessert and coffee. It is located at 115 Atocha Street.

Chinese food

There are many Chinese restaurants in Madrid, of all kinds, some very good, others that do not measure up.

One of the best is the Restaurant Buen Gusto, of which I speak here in detail.

It is located on Paseo de Santa María de la Cabeza # 60. It has a daily menu (I do not recommend it) and an extensive menu with many options (I highly recommend the seafood section).

There are many other interesting Chinese restaurants, such as Ni Hao, near Callao.

In addition, Madrid has a very interesting Chinatown which you can read more about in my post dedicated exclusively to it:

Hindu Food

The cuisine of India is also present in the Spanish capital. Where else you will find places to eat it is in the Lavapies neighborhood. Although the owners of most of these places are Pakistani, the menu is Indian ... and it is practically the same in each of the places.

A good option to go to try Indian food of better quality than the They offer in Lavapiés is to visit the Tandoori Station, located in the Salamanca neighborhood on Calle José Ortega y Gasset 89.

It is a modern restaurant, with a "gourmet" trend and not so expensive prices. If you have a few extra euros and you want to eat rich, visit it.

Of course, there are more options for Asian food in Madrid, ranging from the well-known Korean "Los Palillos del Cardenal", to some mergers, such as the famous Chinese/Peruvian that is in the Mercado de los Mostenses neighborhood Malasaña.

If you live in the Spanish capital, or have visited it and have your favorite Asian place, let me know to go for it next time.
